It is amazing how the Mavs fans went from Me have a chance to we suck inside of a couple of hours. However, there weren't near as many posts bashing their own team as I find in a lot of threads. Most of them realized early that the Celtics are just the better team but the 15 point lead that the Mavs built must have given them false hope. I am surprised as I read comments from other teams how much they don't like KG and for the most part, they say it is because he has changed since becoming a Celtic. I personally think it is the Celtics they hate and the only reason they now hate KG is because he is wearing Celtic green.

Well it should help that we're in Dallas this time, and if both Allens miss the game for Boston then we should have a pretty good shot.

Heaven help us. They're just better than we are. Period. Maybe they'll have an off night.

I actually think Mavs will win this game

More Gerald less George and Carroll. But tonight I doubt Rick looks at Gerald unless the score is 123-89 with 4 mins left in the 4th.

Should be a good one. We just need a way of stopping, or at least slowing, Rondo.

We're not going to win - Bavetta will beat us quicker than KG can...

Rondo's always the key for the Celtics. When he plays well the Celtics are almost impossible to beat. Rondo often doesn't do as well on the road as at home and he often doesn't do as well on the second nights of back to backs as when he's rested. But he's a match up nightmare for Dallas.

Rondo and three pointers from Ray Allen are the keys to this game. If Eddie House goes off on us again, I might have to shoot myself.

Boston is a better team than our Mavs. But we got some breaks here... Its at home, and its a back to back for Boston.

There is absolutely no way the Mavs can win this game. We do not match up with the Celtics, I know they will kill us!

I don't want to read any crying in this thread. We know we're going to lose so just deal with it.

This will be a tough one, but the Celtics have not been playing as well lately so I will be optimistic.

Boston already with 6 fouls; we have just 1. Moreover, 2 on Garnett and 2 on Allen

I just hope they call it like this the rest of the night. If they are going to call the touch fouls now, then they better not swallow their whistles in the 4th.

The Mavs are trying really hard and the Celts aren't trying at all.

The Celtics do not look like themselves. And that's ok with me.

Garnett can committ murder now and not pick up his 4th.

Whistles seemed somewhat favorable to us, or maybe refs deciding no BS shoving/handchecking by Celtics tonight.

That's the bitter sweet thing about a big free throw attemps discrepancy in the first half. The refs WILL try to even that out in the second half.

You can just sense the anger building up from KG. he's getting angry and he's going to toast us soon.

Actually, him getting angry is working for us. Dude is trying to do it all by himself.

Boston is awesome. They just decided "OK, we're going to beat your ass now" and there they go.

14 minutes to play and KG's hot head just got him his 5th.

KG tries trash talking Dirk, and Dirk gets him to get a tech and foul....all the while Dirk keeps on scoring.

KG desperately tried to get into Dirk's head, Dirk just smiled and scored on em again.

The only things Bavetta knows how to do is blow his whistle and make himself the center of attention of a game.

The TNT crew is so on the side of the Celtics is sickening

Dirk is playing hesitant right now. He is pumpfaaking again instead of just rising up and shooting the damn ball.

The game changed when Garnett got the T. Garnett got what Boston needed.

Well, there you go. Despite the technicals the refs managed to get the FTA 's from +10 to +3..

That Garnett technical won them the game. Turning point of the game. Just pathetic, that the Mavs allowed it

Just a disheartening loss to control the game for 2 1/2 quarters, have Dirk owning KG on the offensive end to the point that KG loses his cool, and to not be able to take care of business down the stretch. Frustrating.

The Mavs lost this game because the NBA is a joke.

It's amazing that KG gets so much credit for completely freaking out and losing his poise. Apparently that was the cause of everything good for the Celtics and everything bad for the Mavs.

I know, right? KG is an absolute tool. Great player, great leader for his team, but the guy is a total prick and completely lacks self control.

It was all planned and ingenious. KG knew exactly what he was doing.

Garnett was throwing a hissy fit because Dirk was having his way with him. He wasn't trying to fire anyone up. He was just tired of the memories that this game was bringing back from his days in Minnesota. He didn't do anything to fire his team up. Did it? Perhaps. But, that wasn't his objective. His objective was to throw a fit because he was getting his ass handed to him.

Had the Mavericks won, this would have been their trophy game for the first half of the season.
Boston will forget this game before they start playing again.

The same nonsense happened last year when the Celtics came to town. Pierce gets a bunch of ticky-tack calls in the 4th quarter and wins the game for the Celtics at the line.

WE SUCK!
