None of the Hornets boards had game threads. I thought that quite odd. There were a couple of pregame posts and some post game meltdown posts, but no game thread. It is amazing that with a team like the Hornets have, their fans aren't more enthusiastic about them. Even when the Celtics were losing 18 games in a row, the fans were sticking with them for the most part.
Who else is fired up about the game tonight! I am! Can't wait, we only get Boston once a year in the arena and that's tonight baby.
I got faith baby! We got a shot, you never what can happen. Maybe The Beast comes through again! Maybe Sul blows up! Maybe Paul comes back and gets quadruple double. Or D-Dub gets 30 and 15. You never know!
I don't know stranger things have happened. They do lose on the road more than they do at home, and they lose to some bad teams on the road (Ind, NY, Cha). That said they lost to those teams when they were healthy (meaning the opponents was healthy).
CP3 is still a game time decision and if he plays, he will get limited minutes.
I hope the boo birds are out in full effect for the opponents tonite.
Boston may have lost to as and la, but they are still the best...
Byron is a moron who forgot he's playing defending champions tonight and he cannot start chasing the scoreline. I cannot stand seeing that idiot on the side line with his arms crossed just watching while his team is melting due to his stupid decisions.
And Eddie House drains a 3. Talk about a disrespectful.
I'm sorry but not having your best players to start the 4th is like basically throwing in the towel. The injury bug is one thing but don't be fooled coaching is also a major issue on this team.
Yes he did keep the bench out there too long. Now we're behind the mavericks. :s
On the bright side, the Celtics play the Mavericks next and should beat them too.
I blame a good deal of this 4th quarter meltdown to the refs. Once Doc started complaining and got T'd up the refs went on a rampage on the Hornets calling 10 fouls on us vs. 1 on the Celts. AND there were some VERY questionable calls in there. Even though the Bees were only down 5 on the back end of the lopsided calls, it gave the Celts ALL the momentum. With better calls in that stretch, the Bees would have been leading or at the least tied. It would have been a different game down the stretch. Garbage by the refs in my opinion.
I can't blame the refs..the hornets were walking to the freethrow line too. Scott destroyed this team chances of winning. Have Peja guard Pierce the whole game was an epic failure. He lit us up tonight
My thinking is, in a game and situation like this where you have Peja not contributing on offense and having to guard Paul Pierce and failing miserably, why not pull Peja and put someone like Posey on him and let Peja come off the bench? At least with Posey you know if hes not hitting his shots hes still gonna give you solid D. I just don't get it. Posey knows Pierce's game and would have been waaaay more effective.
Posey's D is soooo overrated but I was baffled why Peja was on Pierce. Hell, I would rather Butler on Pierce and Peja on Ray
BS has gotta do a better job of being a manager of the game..starting the 4th quarter with a line up of AD-Brown-Posey-Bowen-Marks aint going to get it done...
Rivers didn't have either Ray Allen or Garnett on the floor.
It came down to execution. The Celtics did what they always do. Play great team defense, and execute well on offense. The Hornets did what they do too often under Scott, not communicate well on either end of the court and play sloppy basketball BC of it.we have the best player not
Scott has to be the worst coach in the league when it comes to in-game adjustments. He is inflexible in his rotations and never calls a time out to interrupt an opponents run, he just sits or stands with arms folded and watches teams pull away until it's too late.
named Kobe and labron. Why did our management sign posey and peja (and MO Pete)for such lengthy and expensive deals.
Ainge was smart not to give up the farm to sign Posey. Now the Bees are trying to figure out how to get rid of him and the contract they gave him that Boston wouldn't.
The C;s may miss Pose but they aren't saddled with a contract that will last long after he does. But then again, they beat us and we have him and they don't so maybe they don't miss him as much as people think.
