Bill Walker scored a game-high 27 points, and the Utah Flash capitalized on a 67.6 percent (25-of-37) first half shooting percentage, to come away with a 98-82 victory over the host Tulsa 66ers Tuesday night.
Walker, who scored 22 of his 27 points in the first half, connected on a jumper to cap a Flash 11-0 run to end the first period with the Flash leading 31-16. The Flash extended their lead to 28 61-33 after a Walker layup with 1:01 remaining in the half. Walker finished with 27 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals.
JR Giddens was back in the starting lineup after missing one game with a sprained wrist that continues to give him problems. Giddens finished with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
The Flash (6-7) return home to face the Austin Toros on Friday, Jan. 2 before hosting the Showcase. The Showcase will feature all 16 teams in the NBA D-League, with each playing two games from Jan. 5-8 in front of player personnel executives and General Managers from all 30 NBA teams.
