It was good to see Big Baby at the game and he looked like he was feeling ok. They did say that he still had some headaches and dizziness. He is going to fly with the team to LA and see how he feels after the shoot around.
Perk was a beast on the boards, pulling down 11 rebounds to go with 8 points, 1 assist and 2 steals.
Ray Allen had a very solid game with 16 points on 5-8 shooting, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal and received the Tommy Award for his work. He is proving that he can take the ball to the hoop along with hitting the outside shot.
Rondo continues to outplay veteran point guards around the league. Tonight he got the best of Andre Miller with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and of course, the win.
Paul Pierce had a quiet game with 10 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal. He also held Iguodala to just 14 points.
Kevin Garnett shared high scoring honors with Rondo with his 18 points to go with 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
Is there a player in the league who takes more charges than Leon Powe? The guy is so tough. He finished this game with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 blocks, 2 steals and a couple of charges, all in just 16 minutes of play.
The starters were able to relax at the end of the game as the bench played well enough to build a lead and hold it for the win. Eddie House had 13 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. Gabe Pruitt finished with 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists in 9 minutes of play. Scal had 1 point, 1 rebound, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Tony finished with 4 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Patrick O'Bryant had 3 points.
The Celtics are a franchise with more history than any other in the league and this team just did something that no other team in Celtics history have done. They won their 19th consecutive game. Along with the franchise history, this win gave the Celtics the best start after 29 games in league history. The crowd started with Beat LA chants with 4 minutes left in the game. Beat LA.....
