Rondo didn't seem as aggressive as he has in recent games. He finished with 6 points, 3 rebounds, 12 assists and 1 steal. It seems that the Celtics need that aggressive play from Rondo to win and we didn't see it in this game.
Perk wasn't really a factor in this game but he played good defense up until the last few minutes when Pau Gasol was able to seemingly score at will. He finished with 8 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.
It was good to see Big Baby back on the court in this game. He finished with 4 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Tony Allen had a couple of nice plays, but he isn't going to fill Posey's shoes. He is still very inconsistent. He finished this game with 6 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal. Eddie House wasn't much of a factor either with 2 points, 1 rebound,1 assist, and 1 steal.
This is one of the more odd pictures of KG that I have seen. KG played very well in this game, hitting 11-14 shots for 22 points to go with 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.
Rondo went down hard after a collision with Odom. It was a scary moment because Rondo always pops right back up but this time, he stayed down. He had the wind knocked out of him and was ok to return to the game.
Unlike in game 2 of the Finals, Leon wasn't a factor in this game at all, finishing with just 1 point and 3 rebounds in 10 minutes. It seems that Phil learned his name and was ready for him.
Pierce played well as he always does in LA. He finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.
After hitting the first shot of the game and a hot start, Ray cooled off and shot just 5-14 for the game. He finished with 14 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 1 steal. But, he played good defense on Kobe for much of the game.
I am sure that with the way the game was officiated, this was a foul on Perk for being in Kobe's way. It was also very irritating to hear supposedly unbiased ESPN announcers clearly cheering for the Celtics while calling the game. All in all, this was a very disappointing loss. The Celtics did not play well and allowed the Lakers to win this game even though they aren't the better team. Now we have to listen to Laker fans brag until their next meeting in Boston, even though they really haven't won anything yet. One thing is for sure, our bench has to get better. It's time to start a new streak....
