Perk continued his solid play with another double double and some solid defense in this game. He finished with 12 points,12 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 blocks in 29 minutes of play. He is seen here taking a charge from Tim Thomas.
Rondo also continued in his bid to make the All Star team with a career high 26 points including 9-9 in the third quarter. He also had 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
Unlike past games between these two teams, the trash talk was kept to a minimum. Pierce didn't have a spectacular game but scored 17 points to go with 2 rebounds and 5 assists. QRich let his game do the talking this time and finished with a game high 29 points.
Leon Powe continues to make the most of every minute he is on the court. With Big Baby out due to the car accident, Leon played almost 17 minutes and finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks.
Here Rondo went sailing into the crowd after a hard push from behind by Nate Robinson. It was called a clear path foul and Rondo made both free throws. Nate Robinson is a very good player for his size, but he is such a thug.
This was a pretty incredible dunk by Robinson who flew in out of nowhere to slam the ball home. Eddie House had a good game off the bench with 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in 17 minutes.
Ray Allen had a nice night with 18 points on 7-12 shooting, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
Tony Allen had a good game with 11 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists in almost 28 minutes. It seems that the more playing time he gets, the better he plays. He was 3-4 from the field and 1-1 from beyond the arc, but missed 4 out of 6 free throws.
When your star player dives on the floor for a loose ball, how can the rest of the team not play hard. KG had a quiet night offensively with just 12 points but he also had 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 1 steal.
It seems hard to believe that just 2 years ago, the Celtics were setting franchise records with an 18 game losing streak and with this 124-105 win over the Knicks, they tied a franchise record with their 18th straight victory and moved to 26-2 for the season. They can set a new NBA record with a win at home over the 76ers on Tuesday night. Ironically, Boston tied the Knicks and 76ers at 26-2. New York did it in 1969-70 and Philadelphia in 1966-67. Both teams went on to win NBA titles.
