Celtics Nation Mourns "The Redhead in Needham"

Anyone who has listened to a Celtics broadcast has heard Tommy Heinsohn mention "The Redhead in Needham." In every broadcast Tommy makes a mention of his beloved wife, Helen with that affectionate nickname. Celtics' nation is saddened to learn that Helen lost her 6 year battle with cancer yesterday. Our hearts are heavy today and our prayers are with Tommy and the Heinsohn family.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 1305 Highland Ave. NEEDHAM (Exit 19B off 128) Wed. at 11AM. Funeral Mass in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Needham, at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Visiting hours Tue from 4-8PM.

Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Helen’s memory to the New England Baptist Hospital C/O Development Office 125 Parker Hill Ave. Boston, MA 02120. Parking area adjacent to Funeral Home.
