FL's Take: From reports out of camp, it seems that Leon is ready to step up and is stepping up in practice. When inserted in with the starters at center, it was Leon who supplied most of the hustle and rebounds in those scrimmages.
Hurt Kendrick Perkins pines for action
FL's Take: I know Perk is probably beside himself wanting to get out on the court to play with his teammates. He is ready to go but the doctors and trainers are being cautious, which is probably a good thing considering it is a long season and they need Perk to be 100%.

FL's Take: I still say that the other refs may not have bet on games but I truly believe that other refs have influenced games at the direction from David Stern. But, I highly doubt that that will ever come out.
Globe O'Bryant tries to find his role
FL's Take: I think O'Bryant is going to surprise a lot of people. He may never have played to his potential with the Warriors, but that system didn't fit him and I believe that in a system like the Celtics' that plays to his strengths, he will thrive.

FL's Take: Portland has been less than honest and less than scrupulous in several ways. The failed drug test was their way of trying to keep Miles from coming back. They leaked his medical records. They have said things about Miles that weren't true, all with the goal of keeping Miles from playing this season. I have no doubts they may have done some bribing to get the diagnosis from the doctors to end his career. I still get furious when I think that the NBA granted them cap relief because of an injury in the first place after refusing the Celtics any relief when their captain died.
