The Mavs insist he is a great guy but he seems to be in self destruct mode these days. Laimbeer still hates Bird FL's Take: I am sure the feeling is mutual. I have always hated Laimbeer and still do so. He was such a jerk in his playing days. Probably one of the dirtiest players in the league. Celtics 17 Celtics on the Presidential Trail NBA.com Dumars takes Pistons' standouts off the market FL's Take: This doesn't surprise me. The Pistons were looking for too much in return for their players and the players were petitioning for one more chance. I think a lot of the Pistons' problems stemmed from being over confident. They felt that they could coast for much of the game and then turn it on at any time but they found out that against a defense like the Celtics, they couldn't do that. I doubt they make the same mistake again. ESPN Where will the NBA expand?
