According to the Globe, Kendrick Perkins and rookie Bill Walker both underwent successful arthroscopic surgery today.
Boston Celtics starting center Kendrick Perkins has undergone surgery on his left shoulder.
The Celtics said Perkins had arthroscopic surgery Wednesday at New England Baptist Hospital. Also undergoing surgery was the Celtics' second-round draft pick, Bill Walker, to repair damage to his right knee.
The NBA champions said both procedures were successful. Team physician Dr. Brian McKeon led both surgeries.
No timetable has been set for Perkins' and Walker's off-season returns to the Celtics.
Perkins was nagged by the shoulder late in the season and aggravated the injury in the finals against the Los Angeles Lakers, causing him to miss Game 5 of the series. Hopefully this will repair any damage in Perk's shoulder and allow him to go full force in the new season without worrying about it hurting. Walker had said that he expected to be able to get back to work in 3-4 weeks. Hopefully both will be ready for training camp.
