Herald No change on Posey front FL's Take: This is very interesting. The Globe keeps publishing reports of offers to Maggette and the Herald keeps denying them. Someone is playing games. Globe Ainge is big fan of summer camp Posey or Maggette? FL's Take: I was watching some of the Finals games over again this morning and was amazed at the number of times Posey dove for loose balls, hit a big shot in crunch time, got a crucial rebound or took a charge. He is a defensive stopper and watching him again just makes me all the more certain the Celtics need to re-sign him if they want to repeat. The guy does everything it takes for his team to win. It would be next to impossible to replace all that he brings to the team on the court and off. MetroWest Daily Souza: Davis finds it's all about baby steps FL's Take: I am happy to see that Big Baby is dedicating himself to staying in Boston this summer and working on his conditioning and his game. I still give Leon the edge over Big Baby if it comes down to one or the other. CelticsBlog 'Bockers continue long climb in small steps Courtside View Rookie camp ends with one of three picks making it to Waltham FL's Take: Walker is saying and doing all the right things. I really think he wants to be a Celtic and will do whatever it takes to be one. Giddens made a big mistake not attending the mini camp. He is a rookie, trying to make a team full of veterans and the experience would have been invaluable for him. LOY's Place Celtics' assistant coaches are free agents too ESPN Duhon picks Knicks over Magic, agrees to 2 year contract FL's Take: The Knicks are going to be much improved this season. They are making some good moves and will have a good coach. The Atlantic division won't be a cake walk this season. Hoopsworld Top 8 free agent centers Lowell Sun C's owners displayed trust - and Ainge, Rivers delivered FL's Take: Red was one of Danny's biggest supporters and by extension, he backed his choice of Doc Rivers. Red would have loved this team and this season. Mansfield News Shelby hoops legend reflects on Celtic pride Fox Sports Money not always players sole motivation FL's Take: The Celtics could lure some free agents for less than they might take elsewhere because they can offer a chance at a ring. The one exception is James Posey. He already has 2 rings and he has the confidence that wherever he goes he will be the difference to give them a shot at a ring as well. To him now, it is all about money. Danny needs to give him what he wants. He will be the difference in this year's playoffs. If he goes to a contender, he will give them an advantage over the Celtics. NBA Inside and Other Stuff Ranking the white guys in the NBA FL's Take: Proof that Scal is not the worst white guy in the league. Just the 51st worst. Lex Nihil Novi 1986 C's go up 2-0 over Bucks Inside Bill Russell's brain Bleacher Report Learning to cope with Kevin McHale Corey Maggette the next Celtic? Martha's Vinyard Photographer Ray Allen on the 4th FL's Take: Ray Allen is one of the classiest guys in the NBA, bar none. I hope the talk of trading him is just talk because he has earned the right to try to repeat with Garnett and Pierce.
