Herald No change on Posey front
FL's Take: This is very interesting. The Globe keeps publishing reports of offers to Maggette and the Herald keeps denying them. Someone is playing games.

Posey or Maggette?
FL's Take: I was watching some of the Finals games over again this morning and was amazed at the number of times Posey dove for loose balls, hit a big shot in crunch time, got a crucial rebound or took a charge. He is a defensive stopper and watching him again just makes me all the more certain the Celtics need to re-sign him if they want to repeat. The guy does everything it takes for his team to win. It would be next to impossible to replace all that he brings to the team on the court and off.

FL's Take: I am happy to see that Big Baby is dedicating himself to staying in Boston this summer and working on his conditioning and his game. I still give Leon the edge over Big Baby if it comes down to one or the other.

FL's Take: Walker is saying and doing all the right things. I really think he wants to be a Celtic and will do whatever it takes to be one. Giddens made a big mistake not attending the mini camp. He is a rookie, trying to make a team full of veterans and the experience would have been invaluable for him.

FL's Take: The Knicks are going to be much improved this season. They are making some good moves and will have a good coach. The Atlantic division won't be a cake walk this season.

FL's Take: Red was one of Danny's biggest supporters and by extension, he backed his choice of Doc Rivers. Red would have loved this team and this season.

FL's Take: The Celtics could lure some free agents for less than they might take elsewhere because they can offer a chance at a ring. The one exception is James Posey. He already has 2 rings and he has the confidence that wherever he goes he will be the difference to give them a shot at a ring as well. To him now, it is all about money. Danny needs to give him what he wants. He will be the difference in this year's playoffs. If he goes to a contender, he will give them an advantage over the Celtics.
