Celtics Make Offers to Magette and Posey

According to Marc Spears in the Globe, the Celtics have made offers to both James Posey and Corey Maggette. This gets interesting because they can't afford both with the midlevel exception. Posey's agent has said that he wanted to stay in Boston and Danny said that he wants him in Boston and so we shall see which one wants it more. Will Danny offer enough or will Posey look for more? I can see Danny offering the MLE for 3 years and the question will be whether Posey wants a longer contract.
If they offer Posey the MLE, what do they offer Maggette? Maggette is used to being a starter and I don't see him wanting to come to Boston as a sub. New England Sports Tonight speculated that the Celtics may be considering moving Ray Allen to bring in Maggette. Could they have offered both the MLE in case Posey turns it down? It doesn't seem likely. Maggette made 7 million last season with the Clippers and it doesn't seem likely that he would sign for the veteran's minimum. Orlando is also interested in Maggette and reportedly was making an offer. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
