Initial signs are good. Bennett Salvatore is incharge and that should help get Kobe to the line if he stays aggressive.

All I can say is there are villages in Africa who think the Buffalo Bills won 4 superbowls and think the 49'rs with Joe Montana suck, so hopefully some village will also think the Celtics won a championship this year while we drink champagne.
Wow, is this game ever important.... Win this, and I am confident we take this series.
It is encoraging to know that we have pushed this Boston team this far not playing anything near our best ball. If we bring it like we did against the Spurs, we'll totally kill them.
While I'd love to share your optimism, there's a good reason why we've not played near our best ball. Boston's defense. I expect it to only toughen up in Boston, although I like the fact that Perkins is supposedly done for the series, because he's a much bigger clog in the middle than Poo (I'm sorry... Powe) or PJ Brown. All thought the latter could be stopped, if he got called for half of the fouls he comitts while clearing the lane with his arms and body... Which I don't expect to happen in Boston anyway.
NBA Marketing executives and David Stern have warned the refs that the Lakers win tonight and push a 7th game!
There no way we are going to get any fair calls in Boston. If the refs call the game the way they did the first two in Boston, we are toast.
The Lakers are 14-3 when Rush is not officiating and 0-3 when he's the ref. He officiated the OT loss against Utah, in which they shot 45 FTs compared to our 25, the loss against SA in which they just beat the crap out of us, the first game in Boston. Thank goodness we didn't get Derosa, Javie or Danny Crawford because one of those always officiated in our losses. I guess they're saving them for game 7 if necessary.
Celtics won't have Perkins around to bruise odom up (I think he was winning that matchup, sadly).
I truly expect a relatively faired called game. No excuses!
I expect Kevin Garnett to get away with moving screens all day as well as grabbing onto jerseys and elbows since Rush is a ref. Our best bet is to have Mbenga start a fight with KG in mid court and have them both get ejected
I don't think our defense is playing well enough to even stay competitve tonight. I think the lakers get blown out tonight and use this series and tonights game as fuel for next season.
I don't think you can get tougher defensively in two days. That said, we have to matchup with Paul Pierce, and I think that means Kobe on Paul. Our pick and roll defense is probably a lost cause this year.
It all boils down to one thing. The Lakers are getting out-worked. There is no excuse for that.
While the Celtics have managed to wrestle a 3-2 series lead, they haven't been the DOMINANT team that controls the tempo of the game from start to finish. They continue to use "strong-arm" tactics, while the officiating is to their favor
I have never cared for PP, but he has gained some respect from me this series, faked injury or not.
If Kobe can score 81 points in one game, Outscore the whole Mavs team after three quarters. We can beat Boston in game 6 at Boston. We played in more hostile environments than Boston.
We can put Luke on Pierce again. Pierce may have to be taken to the hospital because of stomach cramps resulting from laughing too hard.

Clearly Phil didn't want to win this game with defense, so why not just go with a 4 shooter line up like Boston? This will spread the floor and may let Kobe drive a bit, but no, Phil won't do this, at least not until it's the 4th quarter with about 6 minutes to go, where we go on a "furious" rally, only to come up short.
Are the lakers tired? Or do they just not care anymore to chase loose balls? The faces look like a beaten team with still over 6 mins to go in the damn third...

Cleveland plays a very team oriented defense. Lakers does not.

Celtics won, they were the better team.
Congrats to the Celtics. They wanted and owned that one. Of course we can look back on game 4 and wonder what could have been, but this is a series and the Celtics won it. They never let up and they never quit. Some of the best defense I have seen.
Whats more terrible is how the Celtics Fans outplayed the Lakers Fans

The only complaint I have is that the officiating in game 2 was unbelievable...they could have possibly be having a game 7 on Thursday If they won game 2 and not have blown game 5 the lakers could be champions right now But really...I have no clue what happened other than the Celtics defence was good And I don't like Paul pierce anymore for being a drama queen
Don't want to come off as bitter, but isn't it stupid, classless, etc. Etc. To dump Gatorade on Rivers while he's on the sideline so it gets all over the court with minutes to go on the lakers side of the court???
