Herald Celtics need to answer Let’s see if Celtics have championship mettle FL's Take: I have said it before and will say it again, great teams win on the road. The Celtics have to put out the kind of effort they do at home on the road and then they will win. Momentum? Advantage, Cavaliers Celtics have lost their way on road Extra attention paid to LeBron James backfires Cavaliers feel underappreciated Analysts: Beasley, Rose clearly cream of crop, but others not far behind Report: USC’s O.J. Mayo got cash, benefits from promoter Psychology of the seven-game series a test for teams FL's Take: The ability of a coach to motivate his team and to make adjustments that will address the team's weakness is very important in the playoffs. Greg Popovich is an example of a good coach. He made the adjustment after their two road losses to start Ginobili and that paid off for the team. Doc has to figure out a way for his team to get it done. Globe Home cooking (up) FL's Take: This is a bit overboard. If all the ridicule they are taking for being the only team not to win on the road doesn't get them fired up to win, wearing a white jersey won't do it either. In this town, Posey has his backers Rondo, Allen eye fresh starts FL's Take: These are the two players who have to step up their game. When Rondo is playing aggressively the team plays better. I still say we are a better team with Rondo on the floor and Doc shouldn't be giving more time to Sam than to Rondo. Ray Allen hasn't been a factor in this series and has to step up his game. If Ray's shot would start falling it would give the Celtics a big boost. Stops have been a start for the Cavaliers Time to get a move on Intense practice for Celtics MetroWest Daily C's flirting with disaster Celtics.com Rivers, Celtics seek better start in Game 4 FL's Take: The starters have come out flat two games in a row and they have to find their focus and get off to a better start. They may be able to come back from a 12 point first quarter deficit at home, but it is a lot harder on the road. LOY's Place Random thoughts 5/12 Celtics 17 Tenacious T remembers Groundhog Day Hoopsworld Keys to game 4 Yardbarker Game 4 - Rondo's blog Red's Army Must win FL's Take: this is as close to a must win game that isn't an elimination game as you can get for the Celtics. They need to win on the road to get the monkey off their backs and the Cavs aren't going to go as quietly in a game 7 as the Hawks did. Bucks Diary Have the zebras hamstrung the Celtic road defense? FL's Take: Interesting stat in this article. It has been obvious that the games on the road have been called fairly one sided by the discrepancy in free throws, but this puts it in better focus. I do believe that the officiating has been a factor in the Celtics poor play. Wicked Good Sports Mike's Mailbag May 11 As Tommy would say: Attack!
