Comments from the Other Side - Pistons Game 5

Here are comments found around the Pistons boards during game 5 with the Celtics. It amazes me that even with his solid play against them 3 games in a row, they refuse to give Perk any credit at all. I love the Rip Rat that someone posted. Too funny. These are definitely more fun to read when we win. Enjoy.
The team that wins game 5 usually win the series. We beat them in Boston in game 2 and we might do it again in game 5. I doubt mcdyss would have a game like in game 4 , but chauncey should play better. Brian Scalabrine is going to be activated for Boston for tonight's game. We're doomed. I still get violent flashbacks from that game where he hit all those 3's.... Pistons must stay aggressive and regain control of these series. Put an end to the Celtics media hype!!!! There's little room for error tonight and I think it's time for the Pistons to "RUN" as much and as long as they can tonight. Boston's GOT TO be getting tired by now. Most people outside of Boston think the Pistons will win tonight. When Kendrick Perkins is eating the Pistons up inside there's a problem. Clear path foul...damn that's lucky. Pistons getting some home town love from the refs on the road. Perkins almost had a double double in the first quarter with 8 points and 8 rebounds. I hate Kendrick Perkins Flagrant he?? Ummm.....ill take it? Refs giving Pistons a lot of love in this game. That was not a flagrant foul at all. That's a BS call. Officiating definetly a bit iffy early Most of the bad calls going the Pistons way so I will take it. 12 points and 13 rebounds at the half for Dwight How...Kendrick Perkins.
A role player has more rebounds then the entire Detroit roster... Ouchies Thought I would never say this, but we have to find away to stop Perkins, especially with the rebounds. Perkins? Man, if KG kills us its one thing...but Perkins? You guys know its gonna be LA Boston final, it will go 7 though so they can milk it for all it is worth Unless there's a monumental collapse by the Celtics this one's in the books. Random question: would shanking Ray Allen on the shot be considered a flagrant foul? Only if it's bad enough to be considered a shivving.
You do remember this Boston squad has a player that got stabbed 11 times so not a good choice of words. Rip poked in the eye by Ray Allen, no foul called Breen calls it inadvertent Ok that was a pure flail by Billups. I'll take it but that was just funny.
Is really Rondo that dumb, fouling a jump shooter. Perkins T'd up! Not a great call, but ill take a point Make up tech? Rip Hamilton is a wuss. Ow my eye. Ow my elbow. The Celts played a good game, give credit where credit is due. Kendrick Perkins played an unusually good game. He gets the credit. Yep Kendrick Perkins can join Sideshow Bob of the Cavs on Dice's list of players who get the best of him in money games.
We are in bad shape if Hamilton is down for game 6. Short of that, I'm still optimistic about this. I think people are going to count us out. We needed to win one of the two Boston games. We played/executed badly in this game and almost stole it. If we hold home court Friday, it's anyone's series. Word is Rip sprained his shooting elbow when Ray Allen held him during a screen (or as Boston fans recall it,when Rip choked Ray ) According to a few Boston fans, Rip held Ray Allen in a choke hold/head lock and even if he's able to play game 6, he should be suspended by the league (according to these fans) for Rips stellar WWE wrestling moves.
No way Perkins plays like that twice. He's a "scrub"... And scrubs only get to do that ONCE.
Yeah, Perkins is definitely a li'l slow. I hope he treasures tonight because he won't be seeing that kinda night again for a while.
It was a great comeback. You want to give the Pistons credit for that. But what they didn't do for so long - rebounding - was so glaring they really had no buisness being in this game. Tough loss but it's one they deserved. If they won it I would've been dancing in the street and watching it all over right now for the fun of it. But let's not kid ourselves. The Pistons flat out deserved to lose this game with that rebounding effort for most of the game.
The fact that they out-rebounded Boston down the stretch makes on wonder what hell was wrong with them for the rest of the game? If you can do it for 10 minutes, why can't you at least keep pace for 48? This team is infuriating. If they stay within 10 boards of Boston -- and that's getting killed on the glass, mind you -- Detroit wins this game.
I still think Boston is the better team. I have no problem if the Pistons lose.
I say the Pistons shouldn't step onto the court in games 6 and 7 till Boston is up 15 or 20 points. Then they will have plenty of time for the comeback.
Boston is also much better then Cleveland was last year. Nobody wants to admit that Boston is a good team.
I thought Boston was pretty much garbage before the series started. Now I think they are a pretty darn good team. Starting in game 7 of the Cleveland series and continuing in this one, Paul Pierce has impressed the hell out of me. I never thought he was that good of a player before.
I think Boston is better. Garnett and Pierce can carry their team, and are better players then anybody Detroit has to offer. Allen would be 2nd best behind only Billups. Their defense was just as good as Detroit's, and their point differential was best on the NBA.
It seems like every other posession there are 3 blue jerseys standing around and somehow a white jersey comes out of nowhere to get another rebound.
