CELTICS GREEN BLOG by and for boston celtics fans: Comments from the Other Side

Here are some comments found around the Cavs boards during their game with the Celtics. It was an ugly game and I am glad the Celtics won it. Game 2 should be decidedly different. I don't see LeBron, Pierce and Allen all playing this poorly two games in a row. I know some of it was defense on both sides, but I also think that some of it was the players being too wound up for the game and not being able to relax out there.

I would not be surprised to see a blowout from either side.

You REALLY BELIEVE the cavs can BLOW OUT the CELTICS in GAME 1 of the semi finals IN BOSTON??!! ROFL that's all I can say

Boobie can't guard rondo

West and Wally are absolutely killing us

Getting beat by rajon rondo is embarrassing. West has missed plenty of high percentage shots as well.

Boston is DEFINITELY capible of sweeping us

Rondo is too fast on the dribble drive for Gibson. Mike Brown is dumb!

Boston is too athletic up front for us and they're too fast at the point guard position.

Wally just keeps throwing them up and it's miss after miss! This guy needs to know when to pass at times!!

I could live with getting beat by KG or Ray or PP but getting schooled by Rondo is tough to deal with.

Man there's no excuse why we shouldn't have a team like Boston next year. We have tons of money in expiring contracts and we have draft picks in both rounds.

We can't handle Garnett to save our lives, we can't handle Rondo to save or lives and the worst part about it all is Ray Allen has been VERY quiet.

Of course worthless Posey hits a 3 out of nowhere, whatever

One man WILL NEVER beat a complete team and Boston is an complete team. The have the stars, the depth, the athleticism, and the veteran leadership.....people will say "Well Atlanta took them to seven games" BUT Atlanta is FAR more athletic up front then we are. Need proof? The Celtic's guards are basically having layup practice against us.

I just hate that call by the refs on lebron. Now more people will be calling Lebron a crybaby. I don't know why he goes for his mouth everytime he gets hit even when there is no play on his mouth. I just don't like that. I don't want Lebron to be known as a flopper.

Celtics are just playing excellent defense against James, he looks very rattled. Celts focused their D on James and totally ignored Wallace on the offensive end.

I hate Perkins. In the few games I've seen of him he has seemed real arrogant which is ridiculous because, get this, he's Kendrick Perkins. Does he have any skill other than dunking wide open shots that KG is creating for him?

Anybody else catch earlier in the game when TNT had the box up that had Garnett's "role" and it said "Elite defender, scorer" and then for LeBron it just said "Savior"?

Boston wanted to give this game away!! And we didn't take it, Geez!!! No way Boston plays this poorly again. And no way Ray Allen doesn't score a point in a game!

This Celts defense reminds me of the Spurs defense we saw last year...

Seriously, I don't see us winning one game! We just played a tired Celtics team and their top scorer didn't score a point and we didn't win.

Ugly. The only thing good out of this game was that it proved how winnable this game and series can be.
