Comments from the Other Side - Hawks

Here are comments found around the Hawks boards during their game with the Celtics. It's funny that this game gave some Hawks fans hope that they can beat the Celtics and it showed others that they have no hope. All I know is that the Hawks are a tough team with young and athletic players and we better take them seriously.
Could be an early preview of a first round match-up. I'm expecting Boston's big three to play most of the game unless they get a large lead or something. I was looking at the box scores from both our team and Boston last night, and one glaring stat was the minutes played. None of the Boston starters played more then 25 minutes last night (only one player, Posey, played 27 mins).....while Joe played 44 minutes, Bibby played 42, Smoove played 40, Marvin played 40, and Horford played 34. Also Boston's bench score 45 points.....our bench scored 8 last night.
We gotta fight for our lives tonight and show Boston that we arent an easy first round opponent.
RUN...RUN....RUN....and we Joe and Bibby to duplicate last night's shooting clinic! And we need the bench to step up BIG TIME! Let KG front the scoring load (he doesn't look to do that) and shut down Pierce and Allen. Especially Pierce!
A win tonight would not shock me....being that we've beaten the league's elite at home this season. Atlanta is favored to win by 4 points. No win tonight Four in the postseason Let me be the first to say this......ATL in 5 games....shock of the playoffs....The C's are easy to beat....teams have done it this year....all you have to do is get one of Pierce of Garnett in fould trouble and they are toast Funny stuff Are you appearing here all week? I love the optimism, but I hope you're not betting your mortgage on that. As one of my good friends who is a Celtics fan put it, "The Hawks are not Golden State and Kevin Garnett is not Dirk Nowitzki."
You're right! Dirk is reigning mvp, not garnett. We can beat Boston but not in five games. It would have to be 6 or 7. If we can come out and shut everyone down and make KG beat us in game one we can steal it. At home we can beat anyone. Do I think we win this series no but hay I will watch and hope,if im off. We can hang with their starters, but when the benches come into play that's what pushes them way over the top. We have maybe the best bench player of the teams, but their entire bench is better than our second best guy. They also have a back up for each position. And they use them. Must be nice.
I think the C's will really want this one tonight. They know that the Hawks will probably be their 1st round opponents so they want to demoralize them. Here's to hoping some one smacks KG or Pierce in the 2nd half. Why in the hell are they talking so much trash in a meaningless game for them? It's nice to see that Horford didn't back down from KG. . The Hawks are playing well...imagine how much better they would be playing if not for the refs(how many late ****** whitles are you going to call for them?)
These refs have been a joke.
Game over. The refs gave us no calls down the stretch but Cassell decided to turn into Kobe. We played the Celtics starters even through 3 quarters which is a positive sign.
The good news is that Indy lost AT HOME to Charlotte which means we are basically in(if we can beat an NBDL team). It would have been nice to clinch tonight but oh well.
These refs were horrible, I'm just expecting the Celtics to get a lot calls in the playoffs. Man, Big baby is better than Zaza, that's how much our bench sucks.
We were actually winning until they sat the starters. Then they showed why they were the better team. Our guys were worn out, they brought in all fresh players for the home stretch. Doesn't help that Cassell had probably the best game of his season shooting the ball. Still should have played smarter defense on him. It's hard to win when you're only 6.5 deep with effective players.
I don't think I've ever been so pleased after a loss.
They showed spine and Boston didn't deliver the message they wanted. They delivered a different message of our bench can beat your starters if they want to.
Tonight showed that it's not going to be 4 blowouts. I really wouldn't be that surprised if we stole a game. Each game against the Celtics we have improved. Any other night Sam Cassel doesn't shoot like that and we probably win that game.
Hawks are a joke. They will make the playoffs because of a possible blown call and welfare mentality. These guys are going to get creamed. Do you realize Pierce only took 7 shots? Boston clearly didn't even play their hardest and still overmatched the Hawks most of the game.
How did it show it isn't going to be 4 blowouts again? You really think this is how the Celts will play in the playoffs?
But it is not like the big 3 are playoff studs. We know what Duncan, Billups, Wade, Kobe, and Lebron can do in the playoffs, KG, Paul, and Ray have all had their problems in the playoffs. So nothing is for certain.
But they aren't T-Mac or Pau Gasol-like either. They've all gotten to the conference finals. Plus they are on a team that is much better then their former teams.
