FL's Take: KG should definitely get the Defensive Player of the Year award. No one even comes close. The MVP award could legitimately go to any one of 4 players, but there is only one player who has dominated on the defensive end and that is KG.

FL's Take: I am more interested to see if DJ finally makes it into the Hall. It is a shame that he didn't make it it while he was alive. He deserved it and still does. I hope they do the right thing now, even though it is too late for him to enjoy it.

FL's Take: DJ won championships with not one, but 2 different teams. That says alot about the player. He was a key reason the Celtics won the '84 and '86 championships. He was a key reason Seattle won their championship as well. Larry Bird said that DJ was the best teammate he ever had. Now that is saying something.

FL's Take: The reversal of fortunes in this league are amazing. For the Heat to go from Champions to doormat in 2 seasons is simply amazing. For the Sam Mitchell to go from Coach of the Year to scapegoat and for Doc Rivers to go from scapegoat to Coach of the Year candidate is also simply amazing.

FL's Take: I like the thought of resting the stars for the Bobcats game since that gave them a full 5 days off. Now, I think Doc needs to play them, but keep their minutes down and then go back to a regular rotation the final week to get them into a rhythm and give them momentum going into the playoffs.

What is a lock down defender?
FL's Take: When I hear "lockdown defender" I think of DJ. He was all about defense from start to finish. I think of that famous play where Bird stole the ball and shot it underneath to DJ. If you look at the video, while everyone else was celebrating, DJ turned to play defense on the inbound pass. There was 1 second left and his first thought was defense. That is what made him one of my all time favorite Celtics.

FL's Take: This is my favorite feature on any blogs. I love seeing how that 1986 team parallels this one.

FL's Take: I love Leon and have been on the Leon Powe bandwagon since day 1. It is so exciting to see how he is picking it up and playing so well now. He is going to be a big part of the Celtics playoff run.
