CELTICS GREEN BLOG by and for boston celtics fans: Comments from the Other Side

Here are comments found around the Hawks boards during their game with the Celtics. The hatred for Tommy always amazes me. I know I hate it when I have to listen to the other team's announcers but can't say as I hate any of the announcers. I just prefer to listen to Mike and Tommy. Some of the announcers don't call the game but spend most of their time chatting about everything under the sun and that drives me crazy. At least Mike and Tommy call the game.

This is the toughest game we have left. If the Hawks take care of the ball then they can make it competitive(I have a hard time imaginging a scenario where the Hawks win). The Hawks are going to get destroyed if they turn the ball over like they did on the last 6 game road trip

It's very difficult to feel confident this team will win on the road when we are 7-21. On the other hand it's time for some wins and we can get the job done if we play right. I hope Woodson uses the bench properly. Joe needs to show both Ray and Paul why he's an All-Star!

I think we can win this one. Think about it, we have a point guard now and Woodson is fighting for his job. I say we win by 10 points

Atlanta has a chance in this one. The Celtics have trouble with good young teams.

Predict we'll jump out to a huge lead in the 1st half 60-43 running Boston out the building then Woody tells them to slow it down in the 2nd we got a big lead then we proceed to lose the game by 12 with Zaza playing all 24 minutes and Woody with a dumbfounded look on his face.

The Hawks remaining schedule is the weakest in the entire league according to the Celtics pre game show.

Tommy Heinson is actually complementing our team...WTF?

I always cringe because I have to listen to that sorry homer Tommy Hinson, ALWAYS. I know its coming tonight, I just know it. The only thing I ever liked about him was when he used to say WALKAH, WALKAH, WALKAH. LOL He always riped Antoine.

He is the worst by far. No Celtic has ever committed a foul according to him.

And I hate Paul Pierce..

Seems like the Hawks played like crap. They couldn't hold onto the ball and missed so many jumpers yet they are beating the Celtics on the road?

Perkins is abusing us but no matter what we cannot double Perkins or any of the other non big 3 players.

Hopefully the Hawks come out strong in the 2nd half. A 3 point lead is nothing, but there is no excuse for Boston to have a big run in the 3rd quarter. Zaza also shouldn't see the court in the entire 2nd half. He was getting punked by Big Baby and Perkins.

The Celtics are just coming out. The Hawks benefited from not having the Big 3 on the court together (or at all) for extended periods of time. Once they sit, the Hawks will have their chance. But until then, I doubt they're gonna make a run. The Celtics are too good with those 3 on the floor at the same time.

When we supposedly held down Paul Pierce in that first half it was with Marvin defending.... why did Marvin play 2 minutes or whatever in the 2H??

Every foul on Boston is a bad call
Every foul on Atlanta is OBVIOUS
Every Boston possession with no foul is a no call
Every Atlanta possession with no foul is good Boston defense

Absolutely horrendous. How can they call themselves professionals? Hey I understand the home announcers should be homers to some degree, that's their job. But you lose credibility when you go completely over the top and off a cliff with your insights. How can I take seriously someone who continues to analyze the game wrongly just so he can be pro-Boston?

Boston just went on a 19-1run in less than four minutes. How is that possible?

Big Baby and Perkins are trying to foul out there. Perkins yells "3 seconds!" and then just shoves Zaza out of the paint.

Pierce had 25 points in the 2nd half. Joe had zero.

This doesnt hurt that badly because I didnt believe we could win this game. I say we beat gsw, its a 50/50 verse the hornets, win vs char and 2 win's verse miami. The chance to go 4-2 over this week doesnt sound bad. The reason im pesimistic is because we suck.
