Herald Allen scores with D FL's Take: Ray played great defense on Hamilton and that was one of the reasons we won this game. It is easy to overlook defensive contributions because they don't show up in the box score but they are actually more important than the stats that are on the box score. Seattle tries to keep Sonics with help of Microsoft, Costco CEOs Globe Tactful Brown won't shoot down the Bulls FL's Take: PJ is a very classy person and because of that, he will fit right into this team. Red Auerbach once said that when he was bringing in players, character was the most important attribute. Danny has done a great job of bringing in great character guys to build this team. One night in March CelticsBlog 10 things LOY's Place No rest for the front runners NBA.com Don't count out Garnett Russell and Kevin Garnett: Celtic Icons Say Hello FL's Take: This is an incredible interview between the past and present of the Celtics. I love that Russell feels that KG can bring 2-3 championships to Boston. Great stuff!!! Bulls Celtics preview ESPN Writer rountable: How will things shake out in the East? The horror, the horror: Pistons-Spurs II looming? Hoopsworld The hard fouls are coming FL's Take: One thing is right, the Celtics are in for a battle no matter who they face in the playoffs, but particularly with the Pistons. They are still the Bad Boys and take cheap shots and then fall down like a bullet hits them when touched. I think I would go to battle behind Perk, Leon and Baby any day, though. Celtics/Pistons: Getting the point Perkisabeast The moment Red's Army Steve Blake is my hero FL's Take: I love this picture. Should happen much more often in my opinion. There are just some players that you love to hate and Kobe is one of them. NY Post It's all about showing up (Daily Knicks' circus fix) Lowell Sun Beasts of the East Connecticut Post 10 afterthoughts from the Detroit game Detroit Free Press Amir Johnson can't stop his favorite player FL's Take: I remember Big Baby talking about stepping onto the practice floor the first time with KG. I can imagine for a player like Johnson who has KG for his idol, having to cover him inspires some kind of awe and that gives KG the upper hand right away. With season series with Celtics over, what can the Pistons take away from it? Celtics are more than Big 3 and that's scary FL's Take: Scary indeed. With Perk and Rondo picking it up and breaking out of late and Cassell and Brown on the way, there is plenty about the Celtics that should scare opposing teams. WEEI Doc Rivers on Dennis and Callahan James Posey on Dale and Holley Patriot Ledger Celtics in no hurry to suit up Sam Cassell Fang's Bites Celtics set ratings record in Boston FL's Take: The Celtics are setting ratings records. They are filling the Garden. They are setting records with merchandise sales. There are a lot of bandwagon fans out there popping up. But, it is so much more satisfying to those of us who have watched every game and proudly wore our Celtics gear throughout the lean years. Knowing that I stuck with this team through the good and bad makes this so much sweeter. Boston Now Too hot to handle 4 reasons I'm fond o' Rondo Celtics 17 5 reasons to like the Celtics Boston SportZ Let the playoffs begin Take it to the basket Gopal Camp Why the Celtics are great 3 Shades of Blue Boston can't lose this game Sports of Boston Celtics four point play Caveman Considers Considering a Celtic revival Lex Nihil Novi So called deep Laker bench Pistons not impressed with Cassell 1986 Celtics trounce Pistons, move to 47-11 FL's Take: This blog is go good. Reading the posts from the '86 season brings back great memories and the comparisons to this team are amazing. This has become one of my favorite blogs. Sichting compares KG to Bird, Cassell compares him to Hakeem The writing is on the wall SI.com Celts, Pistons will reap benefits of being in weak East Full Court Press Ten things that only I learned on Wednesday night Courtside View Around the Parquet for Thursday FL's Take: I think giving the team days off is a good idea, but they still need practice since they are trying to work in 2 new players and they can't do that without practice. Wicked Good Sports Gorman: Let’s not get carried away LeonPowe.org Celtics get big win over Detroit FL's Take: I love Leon Powe and agree that he should be getting more playing time. I disagree though that Perk doesn't work hard. He works as hard as Leon but he tries to stay in his role and has had injuries to hamper his play. Perk is getting more comfortable and is going to quiet a lot of his critics the rest of the season.
