Herald C's left Baron in Oakland No deal is near, needed FL's Take: Danny won't make a deal just to make a deal at this point. I don't see him making a horizontal move either. If he does make a trade, it has to make this team better. One move that continues to make sense to me is Scal for Lue. That would make this team better. Even if he doesn't make a trade by today's deadline, we have 2 spots open and he could pick up a free agent or a player who is waived before March 1. I thought that with the scandal this summer (which I predicted in April, by the way)the officiating would be better as they couldn't afford the appearance of impropriety. But if anything, it has gotten worse. The Nuggets game was terrible. Either those refs had an agenda or they were just plain incompetent. Either way, something should be done. It takes away from the game when the refs control the game and make a difference in its outcome. KG still seems to be struggling in spite of his double double. The defense has been missing in the first two games on this trip. They can't outscore teams like Denver, Golden State and Phoenix. They have to play defense. Hopefully they will find their defense again against Phoenix. Also, if Perk still struggles, Big Baby should get the chance to try to stop Shaq. Questions loom FanHouse Knicks turn on each other FL's Take: It just gets worse and worse for the Knicks. When they turn on each other, the end is near. That was one of the more impressive things about last season's Celtics. They never turned on each other and never got down. That says a lot about their character.
