Herald Celtics earn benchmark win vs Western force
FL's Take: The Celtics faced one of the West's top teams and came out on top. They still to face the Spurs, Suns and Hornets but so far have passed every test. This win without KG was really big. The bench is really coming together and Rondo is playing the best basketball of his career.

FL's Take: Signing Posey was a huge move for the Celtics. This guy knows what it takes to win and he goes out and does it. Not only that, but if we hadn't signed him, he may have been in Cleveland or New Jersey so we get a double bonus having him on the Celtics.

FL's Take: One of these days the talk about the Celtics weak bench is going to stop. I love Leon Powe and am so happy to see that he is emerging as that big we needed off the bench. He is coming up big now that Doc is giving him a chance to play.

FL's Take: Ray deserved to be on the All Star team. There is no doubt about it. But not making it may be the best thing for the team. For one thing, he needs rest more than he needs to play in the All Star game. Ray and the Celtics know how important he is to this team's success. I expect a big second half of the season from Ray as a response to his snub.

FL's Take: Rondo was simply amazing with 12 rebounds with 6 on the offensive end. A 6'1" point guard out rebounded all of the power forwards and centers on both teams. Incredible. That last rebound was great where he got the rebound away from 7' Dirk Nowitski and put it in off the glass. Great stuff. And Leon Powe had 3 offensive rebounds as well. I really like what Leon brings to this team.

FL's Take: It is wise to keep KG out until he is 100%. It isn't worth a couple of wins now to risk his health for the rest of the season and post season. It is also making our bench tougher and giving players like Leon Powe more experience that will be very beneficial for our future.
