Fiddlin' and Diddlin' - Daily Links 1/24 Thursday, January 24, 2008 by FLCeltsFan 10:58 AM Herald No defense for Celtics FL's Take: This had to be the Celtics worst defensive game of the season. They not only left the Raptors open on the 3 point line all night, but they allowed Calderon to get to the basket for a layup on the last play. The Celtics aren't going to win just trying to out-score other teams. They need to concentrate on playing defense every game. Miss leaves Allen at a loss FL's Take: Ray hit one big shot that should have been the game winner if the Celtics had played any defense for 14 seconds on the Raptors's next possession. The loss certainly wasn't Ray's fault. Right time to take a back seat Big Al's 39 lifts Wolves over Suns I am happy to see Al doing so well. I really like Big Al and know how much he wanted to stay a Celtic. Offensively, Al is a monster and he would be giving the Celtics roughly the same numbers that KG has been putting up this season. But it is on the defensive end and his leadership qualities that makes KG a bigger difference maker for the Celtics. As much as I like Big Al, I am hoping that KG gets the better of him on Friday because I love the Celtics more. Globe Celtics left seeing triple Stars are aligned for Allen to make team FL's Take: It would be great to have all 3 stars make the All Star team, and they certainly all deserve it for the Celtics' success this season. But, it would also be nice for Ray to get some rest to come back strong after the break without the nagging injuries that have bothered him so far this season. As a Celtics fans, I can only imagine what might have been with Bias joining the Big Three.
