A Case for Keeping Doc
Saturday, March 10, 2007
by FLCeltsFan 10:07 AM
March 10, 2007 Eja117 posted a case for keeping Doc over on Celtics Green. He makes some good points and almost convinces me not to have nightmares about Doc's possible return. The one thing I would have to add is that Al's improvement is due to Clifford Ray's coaching and not Doc's. Doc would rather have centers stand on the 3 point line and doesn't have a clue how to coach bigs. But since we have Clifford Ray to guide him in that area, then he can get by with a pass. If Doc could bring in a good X and O assistant to help him with game management, similar to what Bird did as a coach, it may work out to keep him.
The team is playing phenomenal, but to be fair it's against the Sonics of the world, not the Suns or Spurs. I kinda want Doc back next year and this is why. First of all nobody on this planet could have ever led this team to a winning season much less playoffs with so many players hurt. Also Doc's job this season was to develop our young players and teach them the game. Are they learning? Are the better? Let's review
Al - went from decent backup to one of the best bigs in the NBA
West - improved for the second year in a row. Has to be taken seriously at all times now. he's not just a pesky guy with hustle any more. People should stop saying he's not a true pg or he's better off at the two until people beat him out and until he stops outplaying so many true pgs in this league
Rondo- yes he improved.
Gomes - improved and settled into a nice supporting role. Got beat out but not cause he regressed, which is exactly what some of us wanted.
Scala- Not a young guy, but beleive it or not he improved. He couldn't help it with all those minutes and starts he was getting
Powe - say what you like but Doc did give him enough mins to show he could play here. Tons of coaches wouldn't have given a 2nd rounder the time of day
Perk - regressed but fought thru it. There was no way Doc could pull a miracle here. Despite pain he still gives worthwhile mins out there
TA - went from backup to star level briefly before getting hurt so Doc did his job here too
GG - went from completely lost to putting it together sometimes and being valuable at times at least. Doc did his job here too
Bassy- regressed, but it's not like Doc didn't give him enough opportunity. Plus last nite he looked like a real live NBA pg
Ray - Doc used him when he needed him and got good stuff out of him. A keeper at a minimum salary for at least another year
The other players had the following outcomes Wally - needs to be traded. We don't need him and his injuries any more. We should try to give him to some team that could use him for a push into the finals like Miami or Detroit. Get a distant future 1rst rounder and hope it becomes valuable
PP - He's fine
Kandi - The contract was perfect and he even tends to look like a real live NBA center when he plays.
There. Proof positive Doc has done his job believe it or not.
And most important I think a coach change could absolutely cripple some of these young guys who need continuity like GG and Rondo and Al

Celtics Play Defense in the Second Half to Down Seattle 118-103
Friday, March 9, 2007
by FLCeltsFan 10:30 PM
March 9, 2007 The Celtics were behind by as many as 16 and played very little defense in the first half. The were down 9 at the half but came out in the 3rd quarter with a renewed committment to defense and were more aggressive offensively and pulled ahead with 2:19 left in the 3rd, never to look back.
Rondo got the start with West out and proved once again why he is the point guard of the future for this team. He is now showing some confidence in his offense and if that continues, this kid is going to be something special. He finished with 20 points on 6-9 shooting and also hit 7-9 from the FT line. He also had 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Telfair did a good job off the bench scoring 5 points to go with 1 rebound and 4 assists and played some good defense. Allan Ray played 19 games in his first game back from the D-League scoring 4 points on 2-5 shooting with 1 rebound and 1 assist.
Green got the start at the 2 guard and scored 19 points on 7-13 shooting to go with 3 rebounds and 1 assist. He finally started shooting off the catch in the second half instead of trying to dribble or waiting to shoot. He also had a very nice dunk that excited the crowd. Pierce scored 21 points on 8-18 shooting with 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals.
Al was once again a beast on the boards and was unstoppable on offense. He finished with 31 points (13-17), 16 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. Al is getting better game by game it seems. We haven't seen low post moves like that since Kevin McHale roamed the Parquet. Perk was 3-3 from the field for 6 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Powe got 13 minutes and as always made the best of them scoring 6 points and pulling down 2 rebounds. Scal came off the bench to play 27 minutes and scored 6 points to go with 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks.
Al, Rondo, and Green looked really good in this game. Perk, Powe, and Telfair also played well. This team is coming together and we are watching all stars in the making. Even though we may lose a ping pong ball or two by losing, it is good to see this team playing as well they have been. Our young players are learning how to win and that is only going to be good for the future.

West and Gomes Both Out Tonight
by FLCeltsFan 10:50 AM
March 9, 2007 Celtics.com has posted the preview for tonight's game. Both Gomes and West will be out for tonight's game according to this report. Rondo will start at the point and Powe will more than likely get some more playing time at the 4 off the bench in the place of Gomes. However, knowing Doc, he will probably play Scal 48 minutes rather than give Powe a chance. Both Gomes and West will be re-evaluated tomorrow.

The Stuff of Which Nightmares are Made
by FLCeltsFan 8:59 AM
March 9, 2007
The article in today's Herald is the stuff of which nightmares are made. In it, Doc Doc Rivers reveals that a portion of their team practices are now devoted to preparation for the next year. Ok, that wasn't too bad until I got to this part:
The whole premise of him testing out ideas for next season obviously begs the question of whether he will be here. “I’ve never worried about that,” Rivers said. “I think that was more from the outside. A couple of fans in a couple of paper bags; other than that, it’s been pretty good.” In that next season is the last on his contract, Rivers has stated that he’ll talk to the Celtics about an extension this summer. While he didn’t state flat-out that he’d leave rather than stay on as a lame duck, it’s fair to believe he doesn’t want to be in that situation. Most of the Celtics fandom has been holding onto hope that Doc will be dismissed after the season and now we read that he is planning to ask for an extension. Is it possible that Danny really is clueless and doesn't see that Doc just isn't getting it done? Doc is a good guy. He is great in interviews and the players all seem to like him. He has been good in developing our young players and keeping them on the straight and narrow. But he just isn't a good in game coach. His substitutions and game plans leave you scratching your head in wonder. The only way Doc could remain and make this team any better is if he had a good X and O coach on the bench next to him and he allowed that coach to call the shots in the games. Bird admitted he wasn't good at calling plays and wasn't all that good at X's and O's but he had Dick Harter and Rick Carlisle on the bench and allowed them to call the shots during the games and he came off as a brilliant head coach.
This is going to put more of a damper on this season than even the 18 game losing streak and all the injuries. The hope of replacing Doc after this season has been a sort of lifeline for most fans this season and to read that he not only is planning on coming back next season but also signing an extension is enough to give one nightmares. Is it possible that Doc's bad coaching and decisions were all orchestrated to get us a high pick this season and he really is a genius? I highly doubt it. Is Danny really that clueless as to the mistakes that Doc has made in games as to want to keep him? Again, I doubt it. I don't see Doc mentioning asking for an extension if he wasn't led to believe that all is well with his job, however.
Celtics fans need to buckle up and at least consider the possibility of at least another year of Doc and maybe more. But then again, Danny may come to his senses and say no to an extension and maybe Doc will walk and allow this team to get on with becoming a championship team again.

Celtics Recall Ray from D-League - Wally's Surgery Successful
Thursday, March 8, 2007
by FLCeltsFan 2:56 PM
March 8, 2007 Celtics.com is reporting that Allan Ray has been recalled from the Austin Toros of the D League. Ray played two games played for Austin and averaged 14.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He led the Toros in scoring in his second game, scoring 25 points while grabbing four rebounds in a 110-104 loss to the Arkansas Rimrockers. Ray was 9-16 from the field, including 2-6 from beyond the arc and 5-5 from the free throw line.
Also reported on Celtics.com is that Wally underwent successful left ankle surgery to tighten up the ligaments so as to avoid the constant sprains he suffered this season. He should be healed and ready to play way in advance of next season's training camp.

Tommy Makes a Point
by FLCeltsFan 9:24 AM
March 8, 2007 Last night in the waning moments of the Rockets' blow out of the Celtics, Tommy got really fired up about an SI article that downs the Celtics and Ainge. Here are Tommy's words as transcribed from the telecast:
Ainge has put together a nucleus of a team that could be very very productive for 6-7 year if they hold on to all these players. They are very you. There here hit with mulitple injuries to key players this year. The first 6 players on the roster were out for protracted periods of time. The young kids were thrown in and told to swim. They learnde their craft a little bit better and when Pierce came back they started to really show what they could do and mixed well. I think you can take shots at pople but this team righr now... I've said it several times but if I were going to coach again, this is the type of team I would like to coach. Not saying I want to coach but this is the type of team with young, ambitious, feisty players... and they are all character kids. They just don't give up. They're going to only get better all along ... like this kid right there, Leon Powe (who was at the time diving for a loose ball). I agree with Tommy and maybe am in the minority in that I would love to see the majority of this team kept together. We have seen the benefit of being patient with Al this season and I feel that if we are patient with many of the other players we will start to reap benefits. Perk, Rondo, Gomes, Powe, West, Allen, even Telfair will eventually emerge to be very good players.
If you compare Perk's 1st 4 years to Jermaine O'Neal's first 4 years, Perk actually has a slight advantage, in spite of the injuries and a lack of playing time. Perk 3.8 PPG 3.7 RPG .9 BPG
O'Neal 3.7 PPG 3.1 RPG .7 BPG Last night they put Green's stats over his first 90 games compared to McGrady's stats over his first 90 games. They are very similar: McGrady 7.5 PPG FG% 43.4% 3 pt FG% 29.5% FT% 72.6%
Green 8.0 PPG FG% 44.4% 3 pt FG% 40.3% FT% 80.6% We can't say whether Perk will become as good as O'Neal for certain, but I believe he will be, and even better. I believe that Green can be just as good as McGrady with a little time and patience. I also think that Rondo is going to be a top 5 point guard. He has all the tools and when his jumper becomes consistent (because it will... he works too hard for it not to), he will be the complete package.
But the big advantage to keeping this group together is going to be the chemistry that they build along the way. Chemistry is often underrated but is one of the key components of building a championship team. We have a lot of character guys on this team as Tommy mentioned. I don't want an Artest or an Iverson who will make more headlines off the court than on. I want guys like Perk, Powe, Gomes, West, and Al who have good character and will form a strong nucleus of hard working players who want to represent the Celtics with pride.
I don't think we are that far off. We certainly aren't as bad as our record would indicate. Injuries have derailed the progress of this team all season and still continue to do so. But with all the injuries, we are seeing individual growth in players and this will go a long way to making us a very, very good team next season. I'm with Tommy. This is going to be a very, very good team if they can stay together and continue to grow as they have this year. We will get a good draft pick that can either come in and help us right away or be traded for a player who can. Hopefully Doc will be replaced after this year for a coach who is better at game management. I wouldn't mind Tommy coaching this team. He bleeds green and has won championships as a player and coach and knows how to get there. But most of all, I agree that this team is going to be very, very productive for 6-7 years to come if they can stay together.

Injury Bug is Back - West, Gomes Leave Game
Wednesday, March 7, 2007
by FLCeltsFan 10:59 PM
March 7, 2007 The injury bug hit the Celtics once again tonight. First, Ryan Gomes was having another good game when he came down on Shane Battier's foot and came up limping. On the next play, he once again came up limping as he was fouled. He shot the free throws and then went to the locker room. The report after the game was that he injured the middle of his foot more than his ankle. This doesn't sound good. They will take xrays of his foot tomorrow.
Then, Delonte caught an elbow from Mutombo above his eye and came away shaking his head. Not long after, he also went to the locker room and the report on him was that it was a concussion. He will spend the night in the hospital for observation.
Doc sat Al for most of the 4th quarter because he said his foot was hurting. They didn't specify if it was an injury from the game but just said that his foot was hurting. Hopefully it isn't anything serious. The one thing he doesn't need is a case of plantar fasciitis to match Perk's. Hopefully I will have more information to report in tomorrow's game report.

Behind Al's Rise to Player of the Week
Tuesday, March 6, 2007
by FLCeltsFan 9:18 AM
March 6, 2007
I recall last season as Al stuggled to come back from one ankle injury after another, he came under fire for being soft and a bust. A lot of fans wanted to trade him for just about anyone because he wasn't going to pan out. I guess I could say I told you so about now because all along I knew that he could play if he could stay healthy.
This summer he had surgery to remove bone chips in his ankle and since then, he has moved ahead and never looked back. He took the criticism to heart and lost weight, worked harder and came back this season on a mission. But along with Al's efforts, we have to also look at the coaching change this summer that may have made the biggest difference in Al's development.
This summer, Danny brought in Clifford Ray to coach his big men. Clifford Ray played 10 years in the league as a 6'9" center. Ray is one of a handful of players to have played at least ten seasons in the NBA and to have recorded more rebounds (6953 over 784 games for an 8.9 average) than points (5821, for a 7.4 average) for his career. Clifford Ray was one of the shorter starting NBA centers to ever win a title. Without even a lot of God-given athleticism or anything else to make up the difference, he manned the inside as Golden State won a championship in 1975, a season in which they were playing rookies and weren't expected to go very far.
As an assistant coach who specializes in teaching big men, he has had miraculous results. If you follow his career, teams where he has been an assistant have been among the league's best in rebounding. Before and after his tenure, they were often among the worst. That's huge: Rebounding is in many ways the single most important statistic in determining which team wins in the NBA. The Magic were 23rd in rebounding in 2003-04 and 3rd in the league in rebounding two years later under Ray's tutelage. Last season we were 26th in rebounding and in spite of all the injuries and problems we have had this season, we are now 17th.
Robert Parish credits Ray as the biggest influence in developing his game while they were still teammates at Golden State. Ask Dwight Howard about Clifford Ray. He will tell you that it was Clifford Ray who developed his game and helped him to become the player he is today. And now, Al Jefferson has completed the rise from a soft, oft injured player to Player of the Week who is 7th in the league in rebounding. A Globe article written right after Ray was hired had this to say:
Ray sees a lot of hard work ahead for Jefferson, with the payoff hopefully to come next season. Ray also has a plan for the ankle problems that plagued Jefferson last season. ``There's a lot of things he can do to help with that," said Ray. ``The reason being is, he's bottom-heavy. He has thick legs. He's going to have to do a lot of things, like jump a lot of rope so he won't have ankle sprains. ``But he's got a very good upside. It's just a matter of him setting goals and wanting to be the best." The work is paying off and Al's ankles haven't been a problem this season. We are seeing the fruits of his work with Clifford Ray paying off big time this season.
I can see a continued improvement in store as well. Our rebounding will improve again next season, especially if we can stay healthy. If we get another big man in the draft, expect Ray to help him to step up his game as well. And, I would be remiss if I didn't reamind you not to sleep on Perk. Just as with Al last season, people are down on Perk this season. He had shoulder surgery this summer and wasn't able to take advantage of working with Ray this summer. Then, not long after the season started, he developed plantar fasciitis. He has been playing through pain all season because the team needed him instead of sitting out to rest it until he was healed. Next year, I expect Perk to step up to the next level as well and surprise a lot of people. And Clifford Ray will be at the center of it all. Discuss this topic on the Celtics Green Forums!

Big Al Named EC Player of the Week
Monday, March 5, 2007
by FLCeltsFan 3:35 PM
March 5, 2007
Al Jefferson was named Eastern Conference player of the week. Al had three double-doubles and averaged a league-best 14.5 rebounds along with 23.5 points, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in helping lead Boston to a 4-0 week. He posted 26 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two blocks in a 102-94 win over New York on Feb. 28 and recorded a career-high 32 points to go with 18 rebounds and two blocks in a 96-88 win at New Jersey on March 3.
I am sure that this is the first of many, many more to come. We are seeing him develop into a go to guy and clutch player in front of our eyes. For those wanting to lose, how can we hold this kid back when he is just getting better and better and leading us to wins. And this is just the beginning for him. I was thinking about the posts saying that they would give up Al for KG. Yesterday, watching KG play, it was obvious that he is still a great player, but also obvious that he is starting to slow down somewhat. He isn't as dominant inside as he once was. All his FG's came from jumpers and he was rejected 3 times taking it to the basket. Given a couple of years, Al will be as good as or even better than KG and have a lot more years left to play at that level.
Congratulations to Al on winnning a well deserved honor!! Looking forward to many more to come.

Celtics Get Revenge - Beat Wolves in Double OT
Sunday, March 4, 2007
by FLCeltsFan 7:39 PM
March 4, 2007 In an afternoon thriller, the Celtics get some revenge and beat the Timberwolves 124-117 in double overtime. There was no shortage of drama as the crowd booed Blount every time he touched the ball. Ricky had a much better reception. In a very classy move, he purchased tickets for his former Bucket Brigade fans so they could attend the game. I still like Ricky D in spite of everything. He gives it his all out there on the court and always looks like he is having fun.
The young Celtics once again came up big. Al had 20 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. Al has consistently produced on both ends of the court this season and is definitely a part of our future. I hear people say Al could be traded for KG but I think given time, he may be as good as, if not better than KG for years to come. Gomes came off the bench to play 52 minutes and scored 21 points on 7-11 shooting to go with 17 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and only 1 turnover. This kid seemed to always be there for the big rebounds and put backs. He is a solid player and should be starting at the 3 instead of Scal.
Scal didn't score and was 0-5 for the game with 2 rebounds and 1 assist and 2 turnovers in 17 minutes. It was nice that at least he didn't play 30+ minutes like he did in the last game. Perk started at center and played some good defense in the paint and finished with 5 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block. Powe got 7 minutes off the bench and pulled down 2 rebounds and took 2 charges along with playing good defense in the paint. Good thing Doc promised that he would be getting a lot more playing time.
Pierce was off early but hit some big shots down the stretch. He is obviously still struggling to get his legs under him as many of his jumpers come up short. He finished with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal. He also had a team high 6 turnovers, mostly on his patented dribble in to a double or triple team and lose the ball move. He does seem to be gaining some measure of trust in his teammates, which is a good thing. Green played 31 minutes and was on the floor in crunch time and OT. He played some good defense and scored 16 points to go with 3 rebounds and 1 assist.
West finished with 31 points, 5 rebounds, and 10 assists and once again became the go to guy late in the game, hitting clutch free throws down the stretch. Rondo played only 12 minutes but it is very evident when he is in there that the offense runs very smoothly and consistently disrupts the opposing offense and there is no doubt that Rondo is our PG of the future. He finished with 4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Telfair once again registered a DNP.
We out rebounded the Wolves 57-27. We had 17 more offensive rebounds and that is usually a sign of hustle and desire. We are seeing the dividends from Pierce's injury in these last few games. Every game one or more of our young players step up and make a difference. We are seeing a core of players come together that are just going to keep getting better. With a new coach, a good draft pick (not necessarily the #1 pick) and possibly a vet, the sky is the limit.

Al Jefferson--What a Beast!!
by FLCeltsFan 9:51 AM
March 4, 2007
 by DerrenMatts
32 points and 18 rebounds--good golly!! (Jefferson's stats on March 3rd against the Nets). This is the type of numbers you'd expect to see from Shaq or Amare, even Dwight Howard and maybe Chris Bosh. But not from a player playing for the Celtics, right? I mean, Boston is supposed to be deprived of any real basketball talent, right? Well, a couple of years ago, this would have been true. But this is a new day and age in Celtics-land and we are in the beginning stages of our next Celtics dynasty.
The first stage toward greatness is having a big time big man--and we have one of the league's best young power forwards on our hands. Jefferson was drafted out of high school known for being a huge offensive force (averaged 42 ppg in his senior year at Prentiss High). With his long arms, quick movements, and soft touch, Big Al had no problem eating up meager high school competition. He dominated and played like a man among pre-schoolers. But his next stop was the NBA--a huge jump from the level of competition in Mississippi, and we all crossed our fingers that Big Al would not disappoint. He was extremely raw and had a lot to work on--but one thing for certain right off the bat was his nose for the basket. One way or another, he was going to get the ball to fall through the hoop.
He came into the league needing to lose baby fat and get in better shape, but we didn't pounce on him for not accomplishing those tasks in his first season. We gave him some leeway since he was young and clueless. But in his second season, he arrived in less than tip top shape (good, but not as good as we'd want), and we grew concerned. But we were willing to look the other way once again because we saw the promising future Jefferson could provide, as we witnessed glimpses of excellence in his rookie season. But injuries derailed his second season, and many fans were left scratching their heads. "Is Jefferson ever going to get in shape? Is he ever going to reach the level we think he can reach? Is he turning out to be a bust?"
Knowing he had let down a lot of people and wanting to prove his worth, Jefferson worked tirelessly on his game and conditioning and came into this season in excellent shape (even being confused for Jessica Simpson). Getting his ankle injury out of the way was a big step toward moving forward, and he hasn't looked back.
Going from 7.9 ppg and 5.1 rpg last season to 14.5 and 10.9 this season (plus 1.5 bpg) is a major step forward for young Al Jefferson, and he's not stopping here. With his 32 point, 18 rebound performance against the Nets, Jefferson is getting better as the season tolls on and is consistently putting forth his "A" game. His 28 double doubles this season ranks among the league leaders.
At the tender age of 22 years old, Jefferson has ample room to grow. One of the many areas in which Jefferson has progressively improved is his decision with the ball. Whereas he once relied strictly on outquicking his man to the basket, Jefferson can now perform a myriad of moves to get his shot off. He's a triple threat with the ball in his hands--he'll either dribble drive, post up, or pull up for a jumper, and his poor opponents have no idea what he's going to do. But it doesn't stop there--if Jefferson decides to power dribble to the basket, he has the ability to pick up his dribble and drop a quick hook before his man knows what's coming. And if he backs his man to the basket, he'll either rise up for his deadly hook shot, or pump fake that move and then go under his man for a closer shot. If his man is playing him to attack the paint and gives him some room, Jefferson puts up a jumper--one that is improving more and more as his confidence in it grows. When Jefferson is knocking down his jumper, it easily sets up a world of possibilities because he easily gets his man to bite on his pump fakes. Despite only being in his 3rd season in the league (and 3 years separated from high school), Jefferson is already one of the most diverse scoring big men in the NBA. Categorically, Jefferson is as diverse as Elton Brand, Tim Duncan, Amare Stoudemire, and Zach Randolph. As good as Chris Bosh is, he's mostly a jump shooting big man.
What's more, Jefferson is starting to get to the line more often--and as referees around the league start to give him more attention, he'll get more fouls called his way. In addition, I've viewed Jefferson as a guy who could knock down his free throws at a good clip, and he has been proving me correct by connecting on 70% of his free throw shots (I believe he'll settle in at 73%). This will help pad his scoring stats up a notch, probably bumping him up to the 20+ ppg level.
Whereas we all knew Jefferson had the ability to score, many fans are excited about his rebounding. He's already become an 11 rpg big man--putting him in an elite level along with only 5 other big men in the league (all of whom play more minutes than Al). Al snatches rebounds with authority and crispness and he uses his body much more to secure his area in the paint.
One of Jefferson's biggest weakness has been downgraded a notch this season. His defense once was incredibly horrible. He could never stay in front of his man when he was posted up. But now, he not only stays in front of his man, but he also contests it on a regular basis. He's far from being a steady defensive player, and there are many times when he misses shots that I think he could have blocked, but like the rest of his game, all I ask is that he continually improves.
Lastly, my confidence in Jefferson grows on a weekly basis. Not only my confidence in him putting up solid numbers--but confidence in him taking big shots down the stretch in close games. He's beginning to become a go-to guy and I can see the expression on his face, as well as his positive body language, that he believes in himself now and is willing to shoulder a bigger role as a team leader. It thrills me to see Jefferson walk tall with his chest proudly in front of him after he gets fouled on a 3 pt play. He expects those types of plays from himself now and isn't amazed when it happens. It comes with the territory when you are a big time producer--and that is what he's quickly becoming.
Am I an overly optimistic and blind Celtics fan who deems each and every one of our young players a rising star in the making? No--aside from Gerald Green, I don't believe any of our youngsters will develop into the level of stardom that Jefferson will soon reach. I'm not gushing over Jefferson blindly, and he is proving himself to the world with each double double he amasses. I don't need a player putting up big numbers for 5 straight years in order for me to see that he's got talent. With Jefferson, its pretty evident to see, and its easy to see that he's still got room to grow.
What can we expect from Al Jefferson in Year 4? 20 and 10? 22 and 11? 25 and 12? One thing fans shouldn't do anymore is doubt Jefferson, and what he can accomplish. He's not a flash in the pan or a one year wonder. He's a legitimate rising star in the NBA and his stardom will rise to new levels as we begin to win and gain recognition around the league.
If you are the type of person who needs to see Jefferson put up big numbers a few more years before you acknowledge that he is indeed a star level player, then be my guest and enjoy waiting on the fence. In the meantime, I will be sitting on my couch, cheering on Jefferson as he puts up his customary 15 and 11. Let me know when you want to come in and I will gladly open the door for you
Tune in next time as I chime in on our other key players who will help us toward our goal for Banner #17.
