Wallace Sent to D-League

The Globe is reporting that Brandon Wallace has been sent to the Utah Flash, the Celtics D-League affiliate. Celtics announced today that they have assigned rookie forward Brandon Wallace to their NBA Development League affiliate Utah Flash. Wallace is the team’s first assignment to the NBA Development League this season.
Wallace averaged 1.2 rebounds in 4.7 minutes during preseason and has not appeared in a game for the Celtics during the regular season. He averaged 4.2 points and 5.0 rebounds in 22.4 minutes during the 2007 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. This makes sense as he wouldn't be getting much playing time with the parent team at this time. His signing was for the future and if Posey chooses not to remain with the Celtics next season, Wallace would be very important to fill that role. Getting him experience now will pay off dividends in the future. It is interesting that Pruitt isn't being sent along with Wallace since it doesn't look as though he will be getting much playing time this season either.
