On FSN Sports Tonight, Dickerson had several things of interest. First he said that he doesn't see the Celtics running with Pierce and Allen on the team. He feels that part of Rondo's struggles come from the fact that they are trying to make him into a half court point guard. Same old stuff. Doc promises to run and then we end up in a slow down game.
Green has been a disappointment. Last year coming out of summer league, Green was close to untouchable but now it is just the opposite. Only problem is that his trade value is very low around the league.
He said that there is still a lot of life in the KG to Boston talks. Ainge and McHale have been spending a lot of time together in Vegas. KG and the Suns' owners both have the same financial guy and they are still trying to get KG to the Suns. Dickerson said that Danny doesn't want to give up Al but he thinks he would for KG.
The most interesting thing he said was that the Celtics are very interested in Keyon Dooling. Dooling has one year left on his contract at $3.596 million. He averaged 7.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game last season. Dickerson said that his teammates love playing with him, but I just can't believe he is the best we can come up with for a veteran back up point guard. Dickerson also said that we are still very seriously in the mix for Camby. Camby would be good if we don't have to give up too much for him considering his age and injury history.
