One question has been answered for the Celtics. Allan Ray will not be part of the Celtics this season. He has signed a 2 year contract to play in Italy. There goes everyone's dream of having Allan Ray and Ray Allen on the same team. Ryan Gomes is continuing to make a splash in summer play. I am really hoping we keep him and see what we can do this season for the Celtics. Gomes is also making a difference in the community as he brings awareness to sudden cardiac arrest.

Celtics Blog has a lengthy article on how Navarro might fit the needs of the Celtics. In the meantime, Miami is negotiating with Washington to get him. No news or even rumors of the Celtics targeting him. It seems that a trade for Navarro and Haywood or Thomas would kill two birds with one stone for the Celtics, but as I said, I haven't even seen any rumors along those lines.

Tragedy strikes basketball again with the death of Wake Forest coach, Skip Prosser, at the age of 56 from a heart attack.

Paul Pierce and Baron Davis will host their annual charity game on August 5 at USC. Celtics rookie, Gabe Pruitt is scheduled to play in it. Here are more details on what you get with VIP tickets to the game.
