Players wore practice jerseys with their names printed on the back, a switch from the standard issue workout shirts worn in the past.
When asked why the change, coach Doc Rivers said, “I’m a big believer in trying to do everything as first class as possible. We have the fifth pick and there’s going to be a lot of players who come through this gym and that doesn’t mean we’re going to draft them and they’re going to be here this time. They may be free agents some day and like the way we do things and want to come back. It’s just all of our ideas.”
