Not too much going on today. The Herald reports that Danny is still in Orlando for the workouts after the predraft camp. Brewer and Thornton will be in Waltham working out for the team on Thursday. Danny is encouraged that we will get a good player with the 32nd pick. Chris Wallace gets a second interview for the Grizzlies job and Leo Papile is planning on staying in Boston.
Chad Ford reports that the crop of international players in the draft just got weaker with the withdrawal from the draft of Ante Tomic.
BlackAthlete.net has a list of the real top 10 players in the league. Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, and Steve Nash lead the way as the top 3. Surprisingly, Paul Pierce is listed at #8 in front of Elton Brand and Shaquille O'Neal who are listed at 9 and 10. Here is their reasoning for their selecton of Pierce. As part of their reasoning, they say that Pierce is the only player in the league to lead their team in points, rebounds, assists and steals. That may be more of an indictment of the rest of the team than Pierce's prowess. They expect Pierce to be in the running for MVP in the next couple of years if the Celtics start winning again.
Quinielabox has started his own blog, The Mighty Q, that will include Red Sox, Patriots, Big 12, Rensselear College Hockey, as well as the Celtics. He has a good piece to start with Q's version of the History of the Celtics in a Nutshell. Be sure to check it out.
CelticsStuff Live will have a good show tonight with Jessica Camerato as their guest. She has been in Orlando covering the predraft camp and had a chance to interview Doc while there. Should be a good show with great information, as always.
Celtics Blog discusses trading Pierce as an option. Draft Express wraps up the predraft camp with their 1st, 2nd and 3rd team choices as well as MVP.
