Draft Day Update

Danny is still insisting that he is planning to make the pick tonight and that no trade is in the works. But if I remember correctly, he said the exact same thing going into last year's draft and we all know how that ended up. ESPN reported that Danny has said that the pick is off the market. So, either he has someone he really wants or he is trying to up the value of the pick in a trade.
The Olympian is reporting that the Sonics have offered Ray Allen for the 5th pick and Theo's contract. So far the rumors are that the Celtics have said no thanks. Danny may have something else in the works or really wants someone in the draft.
WJMK 104.3FM out of Chicago is reporting that the Knicks and Wolves are trying to get a trade done with Boston as a third team. The T-Wolves would send Kevin Garnett, Mark Blount, Troy Hudson and Marko Jaric to New York. The Knicks would send Steve Francis, Channing Frye, Nate Robinson and David Lee to Minnesota; and would send Stephon Marbury, Quentin Richardson and Mardy Collins to Boston. The Celtics would send Sebastian Telfair to New York; and Wally Szczerbiak and Theo Ratliff to Minnesota. This definitely sounds like someone making up a trade for the sake of making up a trade.
After many reports saying that Atlanta was leaning toward Yi, Chad Ford is reporting that they are back to Horford as their choice.
The first trade of the draft has gone down, albeit a minor one. Houston has gotten the 54th pick from Orlando for cash considerations.
WEEI's draft show is on now. You can stream it live online here.
6 hours until the draft and I am as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. To make it worse, a thunderstorm is moving in and I have to worry about the power going out. Stay tuned for news as it happens.
