Telfair Arrested on Gun Charge

The Lower Hudson Journal reports that Telfair was arrested early today after he was stopped for speeding and police found a loaded hand gun in his car. The article reports that he was clocked going 77 in a 45 mph zone. He also produced a Florida driver's license that had been suspended. Florida? He is from NY and plays in Boston and he has a Florida license?
Telfair and a passenger in the car, Al Eden Fuentes, 28, of Queens, were both charged with second-degree possession of a weapon, a felony. Telfair was also hit with a misdemeanor charge of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and issued summonses accusing him of speeding and driving without a license violations.
"He was very polite and cooperative with our officer,'' O'Leary said of Telfair, who along with Fuentes was being held by county police this morning.
Both men are expected to be arraigned later today in Yonkers City Court.
Reached shortly before noon, Celtics spokeswoman Erica Hunt said the team would have no comment at this time I would have to say that Telfair may find himself playing for a different team next year. This, combined with his play this past year and Rondo's rise, may be reason enough for Danny to decide to move him. Either way, I wouldn't be expecting a Sebastian Telfair night at the Gahden any time soon.
