The Lower Hudson Journal reports that Telfair was arrested early today after he was stopped for speeding and police found a loaded hand gun in his car. Telfair and a passenger in the car, Al Eden Fuentes, 28, of Queens, were both charged with second-degree possession of a weapon, a felony. Telfair was also hit with a misdemeanor charge of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and issued summonses accusing him of speeding and driving without a license violations.

"He was very polite and cooperative with our officer,'' O'Leary said of Telfair, who along with Fuentes was being held by county police this morning.

Both men are expected to be arraigned later today in Yonkers City Court.
