Gotham Named Celtics' President

The Celtics announced today that Rich Gotham has been promoted from COO to team President. Previous presidents include Red Auerbach and Rick Pitino (one good and one bad). In his role as president, Gotham will be responsible for all aspects of the Celtics business operations.

Gotham was named COO in June of 2006. As team president, Gotham will continue to be active with community outreach and fundraising for the Celtics Shamrock Foundation along with his other responsibilities with the team.
