Injury Update - Paul and Wally Day to Day
Saturday, December 2, 2006
by FLCeltsFan 10:08 PM
December 2, 2006 Paul Pierce and Wally Szczerbiak are both listed as "day-to-day" after sustaining injuries in the loss to Toronto. Pierce was hurt on a drive to the basket in the third quarter but he returned to the game afterward although he kept holding his elbow. Wally came down on his ankle on a rebound in the final play of the game. After getting up slowly, he walked off the court without assistance. Pierce has been diagnosed with right elbow bursitis and Szczerbiak suffered a sprained left ankle. If you recall, it was right elbow bursitis that required Pierce to get surgery during the offseason. Both sat out practice here today (as did Kendrick Perkins and his sore left foot), but Pierce, who injured his right elbow in a third quarter fall in Toronto hopes to be practicing tomorrow. Wally is the most in doubt for Monday's game in Chicago.
