Celtics built a big lead early but let the Nuggets back into it in the second half. But they showed a lot of character and never gave up and won against a quality team.
We played good defense again for most of the game but did let up for awhile in the second half to allow them back in it. The Celtics were even thinner up front with Ryan Gomes out with an injury but in spite of that, Scal played only 13 minute and Powe played only 5 but he had 2 rebounds and 1 point in those 5 minutes.
The player of the game tonight was Tony Allen. He played all 48 minutes of the game. He finished with a career high pf 30 points on 11 of 13 shooting to go with 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals with only 2 turnovers. Al also had a career game with 28 points to go with 10 rebounds and 1 block. He shows moves in the post that I haven't seen since Kevin McHale roamed the parquet. His teammates were finding him inside and he delivered.
Pierce had 36 minutes to go with 8 rebounds, 9 assists, and 6 turnovers. Wally came off the bench again to score 16 points with 6 assists and 4 rebounds. I like Wally coming off the bench as he brings needed leadership and scoring to the second team.
Tomorrow night we play in Charlotte with a chance to win 5 in a row. Let's hope they come out with the same kind of energy tomorrow night. We seem to play well on the second half of back to back games and we have been playing well on the road so hopefully they will pull it out.
