| Celtics.com reports today that Delonte got his first taste of practice today. He went through 75 minutes of fast break and offensive drills before they shut him down for the day. He is expected to be able to go full out tomorrow.
The article also mentions that Doc is starting to see the separation he has been talking about where players indicate that they deserve playing time.
"Tony Allen is starting to show the separation that he belongs to be in games every day. He's been that good," said Rivers, who also mentioned Pierce, Wally Szczerbiak and Ryan Gomes as players who are standing out in camp. "Not having Tony last year really hurt us, more than I thought it would." Doc likes the spirit of the players and says that this is the best team he has had since he has been here. "It's phenomenal to me. They get along with each other, they get along with the staff, they listen." The site also mentions that the coaches are giving some hands on teaching. During a training camp drill on Saturday, Doc Rivers and four other coaches ran offense while the Celtics guarded the coaching staff.
