Training camp is moving along well and we are getting more info in bits and pieces. Here are today's links. The Herald has a good piece on the battle between Ratliff and Perk at the center position. They also have a piece that talks about the refs in practices calling it tight to prepare them for the season. Delonte still wants to return by Sunday.
Daily News Tribune tells us that Doc is working them over time in Training camp as it sets the foundation for the rest of the season. The Globe gives us another glimpse inside the practices. Familiarity of the players is giving the team a step up and Pierce and Wally get to do a little coaching.
Jeff over at CelticsBlog gives us a dose of realism. I much prefer the Koolaid.
perkisabeast.com has a short interview with Gerald Green. Gerald has a good attitude and he loves Perk too!
The Patriot Ledger has a piece on Delonte and his passion for the game. He is going to give us a spark this season whether he plays off the bench or starts and whether he plays the point or the 2 guard. Mike Fine also discusses the new game ball. Celts seem ok with it so far.
Its unbelievable how really well the practices and scrimmages have been going, from the very first day. All we hear is how good things have been going--how the players have been in tremendous shape, how a lot of the younger players have improved, how Clifford Ray's guidance has been seen among the big men, how Tony is impressing everyone again. It just brings a huge smile to my face.
Our first test to see how much we've acually improved from last year will come as we go up against Cleveland. Its not an actual game and we won't play our starters a lot of minutes, nor will we run all our plays, but we'll see how much of our younger bench players can step up their games and carry their own load.
