I have been on the Powe bandwagon since we drafted him. I was so disappointed that he wasn't getting playing time because I knew what he was capable of. I am just glad Doc finally played him and he was able to show what he can do on the court. I love this kid!!!
I wasn't pumping him up nearly as much as you were, FL, but I also had a good feeling that he could play at this level. I've seen him play for Cal and he impressed me.
Doc is going to have a hard time deciding who to send down to the NBDL. Powe is showing that he needs to be with the parent team because of his rebounding.
Sadly, this again shows that Doc isn't realizing talent on the team. He held back Gomes from getting on the court last season, only to find that he's an effective player, even though he's an undersized PF..
With Powe, he was saying some pretty low things about him having trouble understanding the system, but yet Powe goes on to show how valuable his contributions off the bench are as soon as he was given playing time.
