I really like this kid. He is so strong playing under the basket and seems like a genuinely nice kid. I really think he is going to be a good player. He has a knack for rebounding and after all he has been through in his life, he is a tough kid. I am watching him in the SL game and he has some really nice moves underneath and is impossible to move when he gets position. You have to pull for a guy like this!!!

Powe, who always has relished the opportunity to be a role model for troubled Oakland youth, said that is still more important than the amount of money he might make in the pros.
