Pittsnogle a Celtic?

July 26, 2006 Interesting signing. Also very puzzling. It is also very interesting that none of the Boston papers mentioned it and it is not on celtic.com. If Danny has signed Pittsnogle, I expect a big trade coming up sending out at least 3 of our young players for a veteran. Danny has signed 2 undrafted players in Ray and Pittsnogle and a second round pick to a team already packed with youth. I think he is replacing players who have trade value and may be able to bring us a solid veteran. Ray is a shooter and could fill the void left by either Tony or Delonte. Powe is similar to Gomes and could fill his spot. Pittsnogle is a puzzle because he seems to fill Raef's spot... an outside shooting big who doesn't rebound all that well. In any case, Danny has me on the edge of my seat wondering what comes next...
| West Virginia University free-agent center Kevin Pittsnogle has agreed to a two-year contract with the Boston Celtics, according to his agent, Dan Tobin.
A press conference is scheduled for 6 p.m. today in Pittsnogle’s hometown of Martinsburg, Tobin said, where more details of the deal with Boston will be discussed.
