Pierce should have had it checked out and had surgery right after the season. If there is still something wrong, he may be flirting with missing training camp depending on his rehab schedule. He needs to get it done asap if there is still a problem.
 

He may be stalling until talks with Danny. He may be putting it off in case he is traded. I don't know, but he shold have had it taken care of by now if it is a real issue.
 

Yes, he should have taken care of it right away like Perkins did wiht his shoulder. I think Pierce didn't want to have the surgery because he wants to play for the USA team.

I can understand his desire to play for the national team, but he has to remember that he has an obligation with the Celtics. If this elbow gives him trouble this season, many fans will be disappointed. But then again, it will open the door for Gerald Green to get a lot more playing time, so it may be a blessing in disguise.
