I have no problem taking 4 year players. As Gomes shows, guys who have proved themselves over the course of their 4-year stay at the college level, especially in a top conference, are much safer picks and you generally know what they can bring to the table. I like Shelden Williams, I like Randy Foye, I like JJ Redick. But like Ainge says, if there's a younger player who he projects will have greater value down the line, even though he's not quite as developed and accomplished, you should take the one with the higher value. As long as its not a big risk.
