What?!!! I hope this is just a part of things to come. For all we know Ainge may be looking at other trade possibilities.

But lets look at this trade for what it is. We are getting a young PG with potential. Danny Ainge obviously has faith in this kid or else he would not be trading our 7th pick for him. I have seen Telfair play, and he's nowhere near being a star player at this point. But he's got excellent dribbling ability, he's very quick, and he's capable of making incredible passes. But he hasn't put anything together yet, still trying to understand how he needs to play at this level. Coming out of high school, he still hasn't learned the finer points of being a PG. But Ainge must think he's got the ability to be a fine PG, and that's why he gave up the possibility of drafting Gay or Foye to get Telfair.

Anyways, we'll see how this plays out.
 

First thing Bassy needs to do is stop lifting heavy weights. He's too bulky right now, which makes his arm flexibility a bit stiff. In the McD's game he was slimmer, but very flexible. The next time I seen him (playing for Portland this past year), he was a bit bulky and looked a bit stiff.

His potential to run the pick and roll is very good IMO.
