PROVIDENCE -- He makes an up-fake, takes one hard dribble to his right, and hits a 15-foot jump shot from the right baseline.
Then he does it again. And again. Then one more time. Before he does the same ball fake, but goes left for a jump shot. Again and again. Over and over.
It's afternoon in Alumni Hall on the Providence College campus and Ryan Gomes is working out. [More] source:Projo
Don't you just love reading this kind of stuff? Man, we are really blessed to have hard, young workers like Ryan Gomes who put in the time and effort to make sure that they become good players. Working out twice a day during the offseason, working on the things the coaching staff want you to, etc. This is how a player gets better from year to year. A slimmer Gomes (hopefully he loses 10 - 15 lbs) will allow him to play the SF spot more. I don't want him to primarily be a SF though. He's naturally a PF and he has post skills that we need to exploit.
